South Devon Railway Engineering Ltd provides a wide range of specialist railway engineering services for the preserved and heritage railway sector, main line train operating companies (TOCs) and locomotive operators.

 We specialise in:

• Retyring and reprofiling of wheelsets - RISAS accredited

• Boilersmith work and boiler components and pressings

• Welding and fabrication

• Standard parts

All our work is carried out in our extremely well equipped workshop facilities on the South Devon Railway at Buckfastleigh, where we also maintain the SDR’s own fleet of locomotives and rolling stock.
